ID and Bethesda have been awfully quite this past month or so about their FPS-RPG budget busting title Rage. With ridiculous sums of money being pumped into the game and a generous window for ID to actually complete it, expectations are high.

Boasting the gun kings behind pioneering franchises like Doom and Quake, Rage is set in a dystopian slum where off road dirt vehicles, brooding clans, and experimental weaponry rule. The game is looking fantastic so far, with impressive visuals thanks to studio developed tech called ‘super textures’ which basically allow for much greater detail on in game surfaces.

Rage is just one among many AAA FPS titles coming out in 2011.
