Matt Groening, creator of the longest running television sitcom “The Simpsons”, introduced the world to his newest creation “Futurama” in 1999. It right away became a huge success and was airing new episodes once a week. At the end of season 5 (August 2003), the creators as well as the writers decided to go on hiatus to take on other personal projects. After 6 years, the team has decided to return, making it one of the most anticipated returns to television since “Family Guy.”
“In my heart of hearts, I knew this show was too good to die,” says Billy West who voices the character of Fry on the show.
The show premiered its 6th season last Thursday by offering two brand new episodes, ‘Rebirth’ as well as ‘In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela’. The show is set to air new episodes weekly on Thursday nights at 10 P.M on Comedy Central.
