Publisher NIS America recently held a press event in San Francisco to announce what fans can expect to see from them in the coming months. Three new PlayStation 3 games were announced for North American and European translations and releases: A new entry in the company’s flagship Disgaea series, and two completely new games.

First up is Disgaea Dimension 2: A Brighter Darkness, currently scheduled for a fall release. The game will put the series’ initial protagonists, Laharl, Etna, and Flonne, back in the spotlight of a brand new story, and offers a revamped character customization system, a new master and pupil-themed pairing component, and the promise of downloadable content to extend the experience. A trailer can be viewed below:

Next up is The Guided Fate Paradox. Also created by the Disgaea development team, the game is being billed as a spiritual successor to the company’s previous title, Z.H.P. Unlosing Ranger Vs. Darkdeath Evilman. The plot will revolve around Renya Kagurazaka, a high school student who becomes a god through winning a lottery. A roguelike dungeon crawler, the game will feature character artwork by Noizi Ito of Haruhi Suzumiya fame, as well as randomized dungeon layouts for  increased replay value.

Last but not least is Time and Eternity, an RPG with a unique graphical presentation that will place hand-drawn 2D characters in fully rendered CG backgrounds. The plot will revolve around a princess who houses two souls within here, that together have the ability to travel through time and attempt to thwart an evil plot. Fighting will take place in real time, with various weapons including swords and guns being used by the heroines. A trailer can be seen below:

NIS America looks to be keeping busy releasing promising JRPGs to Western markets. We will keep you updated as more news regarding these games and future releases from the company drops.
