For any fans of the show who have been secretly hoping that it would make a return, we have good news for you as there is a possibility that the series will see a fifth season. MSN has reportedly begun to explore an option to create new episodes and deliver them via XBOX Live. This idea is still in the early stages though and there are still many details that need to be ironed out before the announcement becomes official.

No word yet on which cast members would return but many of the original actors have found other projects and are keeping busy. Zachary Quinto will appear in Star Trek Into Darkness, being released May 17th and Hayden Panettiere is staring in ABC’s series Nashville. Even the original creators of Heroes are preoccupied with other projects; creator Tim King is working on Touch for Fox and Bryan Fuller, who helped build the show, is running NBC’s Hannibal.

Heroes was entertaining and suspenseful when it debuted as a unique series using the common theme of superheroes. If any continuation of the series were made, would they be able to capture that original magic or would it just run the series further away from its fans?

What do you think? Would you be excited for a return of Heroes? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
