So, here we are. After almost a decade at Dunder Mifflin, we’re finally coming to the end of one of television’s most successful shows, The Office. With the series finale set to air on May 16th, details are starting to emerge on what we can expect to see.

For one, we now have the episode description, which reads as follows:

“Months after the airing of the documentary, the workers of Dunder Mifflin, past and present, gather for a wedding and a final round of interviews. Mysteries are solved, hatchets are buried, pranks are prunked.”

In addition to the plot description, we’ve also received news that Mindy Kaling (Kelly) and B.J. Novak (Ryan) will be returning for the series finale and there will also be several guest stars, including: Rachael Harris, Dakota Johnson, Joan Cusack, Ed Begley Jr., Malcolm Barrett, Matt Jones, Andy Buckley, Mike Schur and Bobby Ray Shafer.

Now, there’s no news on the one guest star that everyone wants to see, Steve Carell, but we do know that he was on set for the final episode. NBC has denied that he shot any scenes but then again, they would try to keep that type of thing a secret.

Of course, the question that this news begs is which couple is going to be tying the knot? The episode description mentions a wedding but who is getting married? I’d love it if they brought back Carell and had the whole gang gather for Michael and Holly’s wedding but that might be asking for a bit too much.

Whatever the writers have planned, we’ll soon find out. For now though, feel free to speculate!

What do you think is going to happen on the series finale of The Office? Who is going to get married? Let us know in the comments below.
