New Killer Is Dead Trailer Has A Naughty Flying Nurse On The Moon

Saying that you need to "expect the unexpected" when viewing a new trailer for a Suda 51 game is an understatement of monumental proportions. For example, never in a million years could I have guessed that the latest Killer is Dead trailer would feature the game's assassin protagonist, Mondo Zappa, traveling to the moon to combat the evil forces of a busty "certified blood-drawing nurse" (named Scarlett) who is flying around witch-style on a giant pink syringe.

Saying that you need to “expect the unexpected” when viewing a new trailer for a Suda 51 game is an understatement of monumental proportions. For example, never in a million years could I have guessed that the latest Killer is Dead trailer would feature the game’s assassin protagonist, Mondo Zappa, traveling to the moon to combat the evil forces of a busty “certified blood-drawing nurse” (named Scarlett) who is flying around witch-style on a giant pink syringe.

Not only was I not expecting the naughty flying nurse, but I can safely say that the very idea of such a thing has never even occurred to me. And yet, here she is — giant pink syringe and all.

Outside of the flying evil moon nurse, the latest Killer is Dead trailer also includes several shots of the game’s Gigolo Missions (which has players seduce girls, and use “Gigolo Glasses” to see their unmentionables), and ends with Mondo (with his giant robot arm) running on the surface of the moon wearing a space helmet and suit — not a space suit, mind you, but a normal suit and tie.

Normally, I’m not one to support the over use of sexual themes and underdressed women to draw attention to a video game, but I usually make an exception for Suda 51 titles. Typically, the use of these types of cliches carry a different meaning in his games, and more often than not, convey a message that is not always obvious at first glance. I’d be willing to bet that Killer is Dead is no different in this regard, and there is actually more going on with the sexual themes than meets the eye.

Killer is Dead is currently scheduled to launch worldwide sometime this Summer on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. As soon as XSEED Games nails down a more specific North American launch date we will let you know. In the meantime, check out the game’s third Japanese trailer below and make sure to let us know your thoughts in the comment section.
