Microsoft has confirmed that wheels will spin when its newly-announced Xbox One console hits store shelves near the end of this calendar year. That’s because, unsurprisingly, Forza Motorsport 5 will be released as a launch title – an announcement that surely has car fanatics jumping for joy.
Revealed in trailer form during this afternoon’s Xbox Reveal conference, Forza Motorsport 5 showed beautifully rendered and fully licensed vehicles zipping around thoroughly realistic courses at breakneck speeds. Simply put, it’s what one would expect from a teaser trailer for the next entry in one of the industry’s most popular franchises, when you consider that said series deals with simulation car racing. Granted, that doesn’t mean that the video was any less enjoyable, interesting, or impressive to watch.
