Unsurprisingly, Apple just announced the iPad 2, the successor to the highly successful tablet. Along with the first details, the release date was also announced.

The iPad 2 features both rear and front-facing cameras, a dual-core processor – the A5 chip, and is 33% thinner than the original iPad, making it even thinner than the iPhone 4. The battery will hold about 10 hours of charge. There will be models available for AT&T and Verizon. The iPad 2 will run from $629 to $829 for units with 3G and $499 to $699 for those without.

The iPad 2 will launch March 11th in the U.S. and in 26 other countries by March 25th.
