Watch Emma Watson Swear The House Down In This Is The End Red Band TV Spot

This Is The End is one of many films on this year's cinematic calendar spun from a similar topic. The apocalypse. For whatever reason, screenwriters have all drawn inspiration for their scribblings from the Earth's demise. What marks This Is The End as different from the rest is that it's a comedy. A meta-textual comedy at that.

This Is The End is one of many films on this year’s cinematic calendar spun from a similar topic. The apocalypse. For whatever reason, screenwriters have all drawn inspiration for their scribblings from the Earth’s demise. What marks This Is The End as different from the rest is that it’s a comedy. A meta-textual comedy at that.

Columbia Pictures have now released a fantastic red band TV spot. You know what that means: swearing, blood and nudity. Well, two out of three ain’t bad for this teaser preview. It’s only a scant 30 seconds and it’s evident from the start this is a red band clip. Emma Watson, who’s keen to shed her goody two shoes Hermione image steals the clip. Playing herself she dives in wielding an axe and four letter words. Check it out below.

Directed by Seth Rogen and and Evan Goldberg, this will be the first time the writing duo have taken up residence in the director’s chair. With a huge all-star cast, it looks like they had a right hoot shooting the end of the world romp. As well as Rogen, the cast roster reads like a who’s who of Hollywood’s big hitters of comedy. James Franco, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Michael Cera, Mindy Kaling, David Krumholtz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Paul Rudd and Channing Tatum are all involved.

This is the End follows six friends trapped in a house after a series of strange and catastrophic events devastate Los Angeles. As the world unravels outside, dwindling supplies and cabin fever threaten to tear apart the friendships inside. Once they discover that they are experiencing the Apocalypse, they must come to terms with why they were left behind. Eventually they are forced to leave the house, facing their fate and the true meaning of friendship and redemption.

This Is The End arrives in cinemas on June 12th.
