Bungie has revealed that actor Peter Dinklage, best known for his role on HBO’s Game of Thrones (which he is brilliant in, by the way), will be lending his voice to the studio’s upcoming game, Destiny.

“Peter Dinklage is the voice of the Ghost.” said community manager DeeJ. “As you learn more about Destiny, you just might be hearing more from him.”

For those who haven’t been keeping up with the E3 coverage, check out what DeeJ has to say about the character of Ghost below:

The Ghost is your interactive companion, he’s your partner, he’s your wingman. You’ll take him with you everywhere you go. A lot of Destiny is about going into these ruins of our lost civilizations and unlocking their secrets so that we can safeguard our future. The ghost is going to be a bit part of that. So when you come across technology from the golden age that fell and collapsed, when that cataclysm occurred, the ghost will be the thing that you pull out to resurrect that technology.

Personally, Destiny is one of my most anticipated games and certainly one of the better looking titles that I’ve seen come out of E3. It’s a Bungie game, which speaks for itself, but all the gameplay and footage we’ve seen is really impressive. Though many were sad to see the studio say goodbye to Halo, I think they’ve found another excellent project that will no doubt please their fans.

If you haven’t yet done so, check out the E3 trailer below:
