General Zod, the famous Superman villain, has been revealed to be the fourth DLC character for Injustice: Gods Among Us. It makes perfect sense that this is being announced now too, as Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel is hitting theatres this week, with actor Michael Shannon playing General Zod in the film.
Ed Boon, NetherRealm Studios’ creative director, confirmed the news via Twitter:
“Yes, General Zod is the 4th DLC character in INJUSTICE !! Next week we are releasing a game-play video that demonstrates his unique moves,” read the tweet.
For those not familiar with the character, Zod is from Krypton, the same place that Supes hails from. He has many of the same powers as Superman too, like flight and superhuman strength.
Zod joins Lobo, Batgirl and Scorpion on Injustice‘s roster of DLC additions. Though no exact release date has been given, you can expect the super-villain to be released sometime next month for 1200 Microsoft Points on XBLA or $15 on the PSN.
