If you’ve already sold your copy of Borderlands 2, or traded it in, you may be upset by this piece of news. According to Gearbox head honcho Randy Pitchford, the studio isn’t done with DLC for the ultra-successful game and there will be more add-ons coming your way shortly.

Speaking on the Nerdist Podcast, Pitchford said:

“We are going to do more, we are going to do some other things. I don’t have details exactly of it yet cause were not ready to announce what the other things are…we got more stuff in the hopper that we’re planning and getting pretty excited about. So if you’re a Borderlands 2 fan you don’t have to be afraid that that’s the end of it.”

This is definitely surprising news as I assume most would have expected the DLC to have finished with the season pass, which included the following: Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt, and Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep.

Though I didn’t expect to see anymore DLC for the game, this is still welcome news. It’s always nice to see a developer supporting their release with DLC and the fact that Gearbox is still hoping to pump out more add-ons, even almost a year after the game released, is great to hear.

Tell us, are you still holding onto your copy of Borderlands 2? If so, will you be picking up the upcoming DLC? Let us know in the comments below.
