The saga of Saints Row: The Third – Enter the Dominatrix continued today, with news that the former $30 retail release will end up coming to Saints Row IV as downloadable content. An exact release date is unknown at this point, but it’s expected that the add-on will debut around 45 days after the main game, which will nut-punch retail store shelves and select digital distributors on August 20.
If you’ve been following the series’ news releases closely, then you’ll surely remember that Enter the Dominatrix was dropped from its original, stand-alone release existence. Instead, the quirky development team at Volition Inc. decided to incorporate elements from the title into Saints Row IV. Now, we’ve been made aware of the fact that only certain aspects of the superpower-filled expansion actually made it into the upcoming sequel, which is why the DLC venture was agreed upon.
As a big fan of Saints Row: The Third, this is great news to me. Not only can I look forward to a full sequel in a month’s time, but also an add-on that was once considered for its own individual release.
