Jack Black & Rob Corddry Join Jason Segel In Making A Sex Tape

Did that title appropriately grab your attention? Alright then, let me explain. Rather than making what would possibly be the most awkwardly hilarious sex tape of all time, it looks like the Jason Segel-led comedy Sex Tape, directed by Jake Kasdan (Orange County, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story), has now picked up Jack Black and Rob Corddry.

Sex Tape casts Segel and Cameron Diaz as a married couple that decides to make a sex tape only for it to go missing. Although the fate of the tape is obviously not yet revealed, Black will be making a cameo as the CEO of a porn company, meaning that we’re in for some seriously funny moments. Corddry, on the other hand, will fill the role of the best friend helping to track down the tape.

Rumors first attached Reese Witherspoon to the project, but the addition of Diaz in her place might give Sex Tape the edge it needs. No offense to Witherspoon (she knows I still love her), but Diaz can pull off the naughty parts of movies just a bit better. Even if Bad Teacher wasn’t that great of a movie, I still enjoyed Diaz’s performance as the manipulative anti-hero.

Although not much is known about Sex Tape, it’s safe to say that with such a talented cast and an accomplished comedy director behind the camera, this could shape up to be a major comedic event. As long as the studio pushes for the hard-R rating it needs, we could have another winning adult comedy. It’s hard to imagine the film lacking heart with Segel in the lead, and Kasdan could get a winning performance out of a local drama club. Are you guys excited to see these goofs get together for a raunchy good time? Let us know in the comments, and we’ll be sure to keep our ears to the ground for any new information!
