Casting rumors for Batman vs. Superman refuse to die down. One of the more frequent ones revolves around who will play Lex Luthor in the film. Among other potential candidates, a lot of people seem to be rooting for Bryan Cranston and after having been linked to the part last week, the actor has now gone on record to say that he would be interested in taking on the role.

While speaking to Metro, the actor was asked whether he could consider the role. He replied with the following:

“Give me a call,” he says with a grin. “I like Lex Luthor. I think he’s misunderstood. He’s a loveable, sweet man,” Cranston says.

This obviously shouldn’t be taken as official confirmation but it’s good to know that at the very least, Cranston would be open to the part. I think he’d do very well in the role too and would love to see Warner Bros. offer it to him. Besides, now that he’s finished up Breaking Bad, he needs something to occupy his time with right? What better way to keep busy than to work on one of the most anticipated films of 2015?
