Is Elizabeth Olsen Wanted For Scarlet Witch In Avengers: Age Of Ultron?

For a long time now, Saoirse Ronan has been rumored for the role of Wanda Maximoff, aka The Scarlet Witch, in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Now it seems that the young actress has passed and according to Bleeding Cool, Marvel has shifted their focus towards Elizabeth Olsen.

With high profile films like Oldboy and Godzilla coming up, Olsen’s star is shining brighter than ever now and a role in Avengers: Age of Ultron could be just what she needs to really cement herself on the A-list, if she hasn’t done so already.

Personally, I’m a fan of this casting choice, if it indeed happens to be true. There’s no doubt that Elizabeth Olsen is one of the most exciting young actresses around and her career is only just starting to blossom. A boost like this would be great for her and it would be interesting to see how she holds her own against the likes of Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth, or any of the other stars of the film for that matter.
