The recently rumored The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Wii U bundle has been semi-confirmed by Nintendo with an image of a Zelda-branded GamePad controller.

This past Friday, Nintendo released a new trailer, centered around the Hero Mode in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, which concluded with a image of the rumored special edition Wii U bundle. The Big N quickly took the trailer down, but not before AGBLeaks was able to re-upload it to DailyMotion (embedded below).

Aside from the image, there are no additional details about the unannounced Wii U bundle. The only thing we can say for sure is that it includes a copy of Wind Waker and a really sweet Wii U Gamepad with the game’s logo.

In other The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD news, IGN has posted an article that details some of the changes found in remake. The two biggest revisions that will please fans will undoubtedly be the addition of “Swift Sail” (the new sail speeds up boat travel, and it can be found at the auction house right after the first dungeon), and a streamlining of the time consuming Triforce fetch quest at the end of the game (players will now only be require to have three charts translated instead of eight, the other five Triforce pieces can be grabbed directly).

One of the most interesting changes to the game is the ability to play the game in a first-person camera view. Players will have full movement control over Link in that perspective, however, they will only be able to use tools that are normally used in that perspective. This means that you will not be able to swing Link’s sword, but you can run around shooting arrows for as long as you like.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD is scheduled to be released on the Wii U sometime this October. We will keep an eye out for the official re-confirmation from Nintendo on the Wii U bundle and let you know as soon as it is announced.
