Super 8 IMAX Trailer Sets A New Tone

A new trailer for J.J. Abrams' Super 8 was released today and it gives off a bit of a different tone and feel than the previous trailers we've seen. The film still looks amazing and as intriguing as ever. Coming from J.J. Abrams and producer Steve Spielberg, this one simply can't fail. Kyle Chandler, Elle Fanning, Ron Eldard, Noah Emmerich, Gabriel Basso, Joel Courtney, Riley Griffiths, Ryan Lee, Zach Mills, and AJ Michalka will lead the cast and the plot is as follows. "In the summer of 1979, when a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth - something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined."

The film still looks amazing and as intriguing as ever. Coming from J.J. Abrams and producer Steve Spielberg, this one simply can’t fail. It reminds me a lot of Cloverfied, another film I loved and it has that ominous ‘LOST’ feeling to it. Expect this one to be one of the summer’s biggest movies.
