Despite denying that he’s involved in Star Wars: Episode VII, the internet keeps insisting that Benedict Cumberbatch will have a role in the film, and we sure hope that they’re right.

Latino Review (who are usually pretty good with uncovering information), are claiming that their sources tell them that Cumberbatch is definitely in the film. They go on to tell us that though his part in Episode VII is small, he’ll have a bigger role in Episodes VIII and IX.

Furthermore, apparently J.J. Abrams is also looking at Saoirse Ronan for a role and that she has already read for a part. They’re not sure which role she is being eyed for but it could be that of Han Solo’s daughter.

While I’m kind of indifferent to Ronan, I do love me some Benedict Cumberbatch. The man is taking over Hollywood right now and is building up a very impressive resume. He was the best part about Abrams’ Star Trek Into Darkness and it’s easy to see why Disney would want to cast him in a franchise like this.

He’s becoming a big draw at the box office and has an enormous fanbase, which has really just formed in the last year and a half or so. Plus, he’s also a tremendous actor who crushes every role he takes on. I’m a big fan of his and I’d be very excited if he ends up showing up here.

What do you think? Do you want to see Saoirse Ronan and Benedict Cumberbatch star in Star Wars: Episode VII?
