Games With Gold For October Include Halo 3 And Might & Magic Clash of Heroes

Microsoft's Games with Gold promotion has really been impressing me ever since it began a few months ago. The company consistently releases great titles each month, for free. Yes, they may be older games but that doesn't mean that they aren't worth picking up, especially considering it won't cost you a dime to do so.

Microsoft’s Games with Gold promotion has really been impressing me ever since it began a few months ago. The company consistently releases great titles each month, for free. Yes, they may be older games, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t worth picking up, especially considering it won’t cost you a dime to do so.

Today, Major Nelson announced which titles will be up for grabs in October and they are Might & Magic Clash of Heroes and Halo 3. Might & Magic is up first as starting on October 1st, the normally $14.99 title will be available to download for free for XBOX Live Gold members. That deal will expire on October 16th, which is when Halo 3, normally priced at $14.99, will be made available to download for free.

Admittedly, I’m not too familiar with Might & Magic Clash of Heroes, but I am, of course, very familiar with Halo 3 and have very fond memories of spending countless hours with it when it released back in 2007. It is still one of the console’s best games and surprisingly, still has a decent number of people playing it online. I’m sure that most of you already own the title but if for some reason you don’t, there’s no reason not to pick it up come October 16th.

Tell us, will you be picking up Might & Magic Clash of Heroes and Halo 3 next month? Let us know in the comments section below.
