Colin Trevorrow’s dinos-run-amok extravaganza Jurassic World has purportedly attained the services of up-and-coming thespian Nick Robinson, as casting continues on the Steven Spielberg-produced Universal tentpole which roars into release in 2015.
Robinson, who has received stellar raves for his portrayal of a disaffected kid who decides to leave his boring, by-the-numbers life at home to build a house of his own in the woods in The Kings Of Summer, looks set to join the eagerly awaited fourth chapter in the Jurassic Park series.
Joining the previously announced Bryce Dallas Howard and Ty Simpkins in key roles, unsubstantiated rumors suggest that Robinson will be playing the older brother of Simpkins’ character in the film, though nothing has been officially confirmed just yet.
It looks like things are really heating up for the film right now and I wouldn’t be surprised if we continue to hear casting news throughout the coming weeks. With a line-up that already includes Howard, Simpkins and Robinson, it should be interesting to see who the studio snags next.
So tell us, are the casting choices announced so far for Jurassic World piquing your curiosity about what a return to the Michael Crichton-created world of gentically-engineered dinosaurs will entail? Or are you finding it difficult to be enthused about this project?
