Victor Rasuk Will Play Jose Rodriguez In Fifty Shades Of Grey

With Jamie Dornan set for the lead role in Fifty Shades of Grey, it looks like Universal and Focus have gone back to casting the rest of the film. Today, they’ve settled on Victor Rasuk to play Jose Rodriguez, “the aspiring photographer and classmate of Anastasia, whose close friendship with the young girl pits him as rival for her affections with Christian Grey.”

Though not a big name, people might recognize Rasuk from his time on HBO’s short-lived How To Make It In America. Aside from that though, I don’t think the name would sound all that familiar as he really doesn’t have too many other notable credits. This upcoming adaptation should be his biggest role to date and will definitely give his profile a bit of a boost.

And that’s all I really have to say about this particular news item. I haven’t read Fifty Shades of Grey so I can’t comment on whether or not Rasuk is a good fit for Rodriguez. I also have no intention of seeing the film, so I can’t tell you why I’m excited for it. In fact, nothing about this project appeals to me and to this day I still wonder why we have to be punished with a film based on E.L. James’ trashy novel.

Well actually, we all know why, it starts with an “M” and ends in “oney.” That seems to be the deciding factor for most projects in Hollywood these days and as much as I hate to say it, this film will probably do well at the box office.

Yes, there are actually people who will pay to see this film, believe it or not. Just like a Fifty Shades of Grey film is coming to a theatre near you next Summer, believe it or not.

Tell us, are you familiar with Rasuk and if so, are you happy to see him joining Fifty Shades of Grey?
