With all the great movies set to release this month and next, Oldboy is perhaps one of my most anticipated. The main reason I’m so eager to see it is because the Korean original has long been a favorite of mine and I’m beyond curious to see how the American remake will turn out.

Luckily, there hasn’t been a shortage of marketing material to aid us in passing judgement on the film. We’ve seen posters, clips, featurettes, trailers, photos, etc. Really, everything you can think of. There’s been a ton of promotion for Spike Lee’s upcoming remake and on November 27th we’ll finally be able to see what the final product looks like.

Until then though, we will continue to bring you any and all material that the studio releases. And speaking of promotional material, today we have several new photos and a new trailer for you to feast your eyes on. In addition to that, we have an interesting tidbit to report on. According to star Josh Brolin, there is a three hour director’s cut of the film, which I am really hoping that we see on the Blu-Ray.

As for the new photos and trailer, it all looks pretty promising but there’s really no way to tell if Lee has done the film justice until we see the full thing. We’ve been promised a dark, no holds barred, reinterpretation of the original, and I’m hoping that’s exactly what we get.

Check out all the new media below and then head to the comments section and let us know what you think about Spike Lee’s upcoming Oldboy remake, which stars the aforementioned Brolin along with Elizabeth Olsen, Samuel L. Jackson and Sharlto Copley.
