With the launch the PlayStation 4 finally upon us, today’s PlayStation Plus update guarantees that subscribers will have at least two next-gen Instant Game Collection titles (the shoot-em-up Resogun and the puzzle-platformer Contrast) ready to go on November 15th.

Set in the “1920′s vaudevillian flim noir dreamscape,” Contrast has players take on the role of Dawn, the imaginary friend of a little girl named Didi. Dawn has the power to move back and forth between the 3D world and the “2D shadowscape” by becoming a shadow. Using the shifting ability, players will be able to “solve complex puzzles, in order to help Didi investigate the secrets that lie behind her troubled family.”

On the other end of the video game genre spectrum, Resogun is described as a “intense fast-paced shoot em’ up,” that has players “blast hordes of enemies and rescue the last survivors from distant galactic colonies.” In other words, it is a dream come true for old school gamers looking to dominate the top of a next-gen leaderboard.

Sony is also giving PlayStation Plus subscribers a download of the “gravity-centric” PS3 platformer ibb & obb with tomorrow’s PS Store update, and tossing in a free PS4 Warframe Starter Pack that includes the following items:

  • 100 Platinum
  • 50,000 Credits
  • Falcon Mod Pack – includes 5 mods, one guaranteed to be Uncommon or better
  • 3-Day Affinity Booster – Ranks up equipment at a faster rate
  • 3-Day Credit Booster – Credits can be gathered quicker

As if that wasn’t enough, Plus members will be able to grab some pretty hefty discounts on the following list of PS3 and PS Vita titles:
