Nintendo enthusiasts may recall the surprise announcement of a 3DS entry in the long-running Kirby franchise during last month’s Nintendo Direct news stream. While we haven’t received any real details regarding the upcoming platformer since that initial teaser trailer, some recent digging by Destructoid revealed a Tweet from gamer Nintendemon with what looks to be an official logo for the game.

Check it out below:

There you have it. Destructoid has since contacted Nintendo representatives, who have confirmed that the logo is legit. While Kirby Triple Deluxe may initially sound like something you’d order at a fast food joint (Fitting, considering the title character’s eating tendencies), it also harkens back to the days of the original DS, and such titles as Advance Wars: Dual Strike. How so?  Much like the initials of Advance Wars‘ subtitle formed a DS, you can take the number in Triple (3) and the first letter of Deluxe (D) to get 3D. A bit of a stretch, I suppose, but clever nonetheless.

Unfortunately, we still don’t have any additional information on Kirby Triple Deluxe other than the original teaser trailer, which revealed a 2014 release date. We will be sure to keep you updated, though.

In the meantime, tell us, what are your thoughts on the title for Kirby’s latest adventure? Let us know in the comments section below.
