In a move that has me seriously considering picking up a PlayStation 4, Bungie used the PlayStation All Access event last night to reveal that PS3 and PS4 users will be able to test out the Destiny beta before their Xbox counterparts. Of course, you have to pre-order the game to gain access but as long as you do so, you’ll be playing Bungie’s next masterpiece long before your friends on the Xbox One/Xbox 360.
Unfortunately, no specific dates for the beta were announced. All we know is that it is expected to arrive sometime in 2014.
Honestly, this is a bit of a surprising move, seeing as Bungie is known for developing the Halo series which was exclusive to Microsoft. I was hoping/thinking that those with an Xbox One or Xbox 360 would be getting early access to the beta, not the PlayStation nation. And as someone who is insanely excited for Destiny and is without a PlayStation of any sort, this is pretty disappointing news.
