If a new listing on Amazon’s Italian website is correct, a next-gen “Definitive Edition” of the latest Tomb Raider game is headed for the PlayStation 4 early next year.

According to Amazon’s listing page, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition is the same Lara Croft reboot story that we played earlier this year, packaged together with all of its downloadable content (the bulk of which had to do with the game’s multiplayer mode) and an “exclusive artbook.” The site lists the unannounced next-gen re-release as launching on January 24, 2014 for €59.99.

It should also be noted that Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (assuming it is actually released) is not likely to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. A separate listing without a specified platform also exists on Amazon’s Italian site, which seems to indicate that the game is also coming to the Xbox One.

Until we get an official announcement from Square Enix, it is best to consider the next-gen Tomb Raider re-release to be nothing more than speculation. It is not often that Amazon listings are completely wrong, but it is best to not count your Lara Crofts before they hatch.

While we wait to hear a confirmation either way, let us know your thoughts on possibility of a “Definitive Edition” of Tomb Raider in the comments below. I personally loved the Lara reboot, but I can’t see myself being any happier after buying a next-gen version unless there is some new single-player content involved.
