Machete Will Kill Again….In Space

If you're one of the few people that have seen Machete Kills in theatres (and at a $14 million worldwide box office take, we know there aren't many of you), then you've already seen the following video clip. To the rest of you though, it's a delightful surprise! A teasing first look at the upcoming (probably not) third film in the Machete series, Machete Kills Again... In Space.

If you’re one of the few people that have seen Machete Kills in theatres (and at a $14 million worldwide box office take, we know there aren’t many of you), then you’ve already seen the following video clip. To the rest of you though, it’s a delightful surprise! A teasing first look at the upcoming (probably not) third film in the Machete series, Machete Kills Again… In Space.

I don’t think it’s a stretch to say that this fake trailer was the most entertaining thing about Machete Kills. With space babes, lightsaber machetes and Michelle Rodriguez in a rocket pack, it was the best two minutes in the film’s nearly two-hour running time. Perhaps it’s proof that Machete only works in two minute doses, or perhaps it’s an indication that director Robert Rodriguez should have just skipped over Machete Kills and gone right to Machete Kills Again… In Space. Machete Kills leads right into it after all, and do we really need to know what happened to Jessica Alba’s character?

Sadly, I don’t think we should hold our breath for this one. If it does happen to land in theatres at some point though, would you pay to see a Machete Kills sequel? Or have you had enough of the character? Let us know in the comments below.
