Available for free on Machinima's Youtube channel, the first episode of the live-action web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy is now live. Directed and produced by Kevin Tancharoen, the man who was behind the unofficial Mortal Kombat: Rebirth short that inspired this project, Mortal Kombat: Legacy is a nine episode series of shorts that gives deeper insight on the characters.

Revealed so far, the cast includes Michael Jai White as Jax, Darren Shahlavi as Kano, Jeri Ryan as Sonya Blade and Tamoh Pennikett as Striker. The series was written by Kevin Tancharoen, Aaron Helbing and Todd Helbing.
