Microsoft has revealed that they sold more than 3 million Xbox One units in 2013.

Released on November 22nd in 13 countries, the console has garnered positive feedback from both critics and gamers and seems to be off to a great start.

“It’s been incredible to see Xbox One selling at a record-setting pace for Xbox, and we were honored to see Xbox One become the fastest-selling console in the U.S. during our launch month in November,” Microsoft’s Yusuf Mehdi wrote. “Since our launch, demand for Xbox One has been strong, selling out throughout the holidays at most retailers worldwide. We are continuing to work hard to deliver additional consoles to retailers as fast as possible.”

I purchased an Xbox One on launch day and I’ve been very happy with it ever since. Admittedly, the initial line-up of games left a bit to be desired but with some exciting titles coming in the next few months, I don’t think we have anything to be worried about.

For now, I’ll be more than happy spending my time with Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4 (which is finally running smoothly for me!)
