In a couple of months myself, along with some of our other writers, will be heading down to Austin, TX for South by Southwest, aka SXSW. It’s definitely a different kind of festival, when compared to something like Cannes or TIFF, but it’s always a good time and we’re very excited to be covering it for you this year.

Today, the festival has announced the first few films that will be playing. Unfortunately, the entire list has yet to be revealed but with several titles now out of the bag, you can bet that we’ll be seeing the full line-up shortly. For now, we can tell you that Jon Favreau’s Chef will be premiering at the festival as will the highly anticipated Veronica Mars movie. We’ll also be seeing a documentary on Swedish House Mafia (which could be interesting for EDM fans like myself) and also a new thriller starring Mark Duplass titled Creep, among others.

SXSW runs from March 7 to 15th. Check out the full press release on the next page for all the films that were announced today.
