Those that have been itching to step back into the shoes of Bigby Wolf will have just a little more longer to wait, as Telltale Games confirmed that the second episode of The Wolf Among Us will be coming the first week of February. The first part of this adaptation of the Fables comic series has been available since October.

Released to critical acclaim, the first episode of The Wolf Among Us ended on a major cliffhanger, which has only made this extended wait all the more painful. Speaking to the members of the official forum, Telltale president Kevin Bruner explained that it has “been a struggle to get this episode out, for a variety of reasons” and that “we are very concerned about the long delay for this episode, but this is one of those occasions where several things conspired against us.”

I mentioned this back when we first heard that the second of episode of the series was nearing completion, but it does seem that Telltale does tend to put a lot on their plate at times. They currently have this and season two of The Walking Dead, which launched in December, plus the recent announcements of series’ based on Borderlands and Game of Thrones. If the quality of these titles remains in line with the typical output of Telltale though, it would be a little hard to complain about the delays.

We will hopefully have a review up of Smoke & Mirrors, the next episode of The Wolf Among Us, as soon as it launches in February, so stay tuned.
