The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 Teaser Poster Released

Lionsgate has released the teaser poster for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 1 and from the looks of it, they’re not giving us much to work with. If you’re still experiencing withdrawal symptoms from watching The Hunger Games: Catching Fire a couple of months ago, then you’ll know that the film ended on a rather monumental cliffhanger. Thankfully, the first half of the two part ending will be in theatres this coming fall to pick up where things left off.

Using Suzanne Collins’ beloved novel trilogy as a foundation, Francis Lawrence will return to direct the two-part finale of The Hunger Games franchise with the help of Danny Strong’s written adaptation. In The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, Katniss leads a rebellion against the archaic and oppressive Capitol in a war that will challenge her relationships and threaten the safety of her family.

Typically, the first sign of a teaser poster means that a teaser trailer could surface in the near future, but it may be too early to expect said release. In an attempt to keep the Hunger Games momentum alive, it is no surprise that Lionsgate has released a bit of promotional material so soon after the success of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, but unfortunately, I think this is all for now. A trailer is likely still a long ways off.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 will hit theatres on November 21st. Tell us, do you think the release of the teaser poster is premature? Let us know in the comments section below.
