Due to the success of his smash-hit comedy Ted, a lot of people are eager to see director Seth MacFarlane’s next effort, A Million Ways To Die In The West. While we’ve seen a couple photos already, today brings with it a batch of character posters and the very first red band trailer for the film.

The script, which the Family Guy creator penned, follows a sheep farmer (MacFarlane) who “loses his girlfriend after he backs out of a gunfight, but soon falls in love with another woman. He then must battle her outlaw husband when he comes to town seeking revenge.” With a cast that also includes Charlize Theron, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried, Giovanni Ribisi, Sarah Silverman and Neil Patrick Harris, you can bet that we’ll be in for a good time.

Personally, I happen to really enjoy MacFarlane’s brand of humor and judging by what’s shown in the red-band trailer, I think A Million Ways To Die In The West looks hilarious. It’s not often we see MacFarlane’s face on screen, usually it’s only his voice, so that’s a nice change. But moreso than that, there’s just a lot of really, really funny moments here that had me laughing out loud on several occasions. I know it’s still a bit early but I think MacFarlane has another huge hit on his hands.

A Million Ways to Die in the West hits theatres on May 30th. Check out all the new media below and let us know what you think in the comments section.
