Saoirse Ronan and Cynthia Nixon will star in an upcoming drama titled Stockholm, Pennsylvania, scripted and directed by Nikole Beckwith. She’ll be making her feature debut with the film, which is based off her play of the same name. The script made its way onto the 2012 Black List, won the 2012 Nicholl Fellowship and went through Sundance’s Screenwriting Lab, so there’s a lot of potential for a great film here. And with more than capable talents like Ronan and Nixon in the lead roles, Stockholm, Pennsylvania could turn out to be a powerful, affecting drama.

Production on Stockholm, Pennsylvania will commence next week in Los Angeles. We’ll keep you posted when we hear more casting news but for now, tell us, does this indie flick sound like a winner to you? Let us know in the comments section below.
