XBOX Live And Kinect Sports Look To Make History

On Saturday April 23rd, Xbox Live and Kinect Sports are teaming up to set gaming history. Together they are planning to set a Guinness Book World record by hosting the largest online 100m sprint and your invited to join in on the fun.

On Saturday April 23rd, Xbox Live and Kinect Sports are teaming up to set gaming history. Together they are planning to set a Guinness Book World record by hosting the largest online 100m sprint and your invited to join in on the fun.

To participate, just follow these three simple steps:

First, to log your participation sign into your Xbox LIVE account, find Xbox Nations on the dashboard, and follow the instructions to download the Guinness World Record gamerpic before the official start time of 18:00. Before the race starts, load your copy of Kinect Sports, choose Mini-Games from the Main Menu screen, select 100m Dash and then how many people you would like to participate (1 – 4 players). Finally, select Continue and you’re ready to race in the 100m mini-game! At 18:00, run the 100m dash as normal, with up to four people

Microsoft in conjunction with the Guinness Book of World Records will award those who participate with an Xbox LIVE and Guinness World Record Avatar T-shirt. The Guinness World Record attempt is part of Xbox Nations, a free LIVE weekend offering all members the chance to experience Gold membership features for free from 9am Thursday 21st April until 11.59pm on Monday 25thApril.

The weekend long event will also host other amazing “Play and Win” prizes including, a chance to meet and train with WBA World super lightweight champion Amir Khan, a pair of VIP Premier League tickets for a match of your choice during the 2011/2012 season, reebok trainers and clothing, Microsoft Points, free Zune Passes and more!
