Fans of the Japanese manga/sports series, Inazuma Eleven, will be happy to hear that the franchise's self-titled video game has made its way to North America. In fact, you should be able to download it now if you'd like to, provided that you have a 3DS and an Internet connection to log onto the eShop with.

Fans of the Japanese manga/sports series, Inazuma Eleven, will be happy to hear that the franchise’s self-titled video game has made its way to North America. In fact, you should be able to download it now if you’d like to, provided that you have a 3DS and an Internet connection to log onto the eShop with.

It was during Nintendo’s first Nintendo Direct livestream of the year that they announced the game’s availability. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, though, given that the title was once taken off of the company’s regional release schedule.

For those who’ve never heard of it, the Inazuma Eleven (aka. Lightning Eleven) game mixes soccer with tactical-RPG gameplay. It’s an interesting concept, which will hopefully work well in practice.
