Takers Director John Luessenhop To Take On Leatherface 3D

Yes! This is what we need, the continuing bastardisation of classic horror overseen by Michael Bay. His Platinum Dunes label started it with the remake of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre in 2003, a thoroughly terrible film, and continued on from then. We had an equally terrible prequel called The Beginning in 2006, directed by Jonathan Liebesman, who then went on to direct the very bad Battle: Los Angeles. Now Bay and his horde are going to continue his decimation of horror by bringing us Leatherface 3D. And the man they have chosen to direct the film is John Luessenhop, who last gave us the heist movie Takers, I haven't seen it but I am reliably informed it is not great. The script is reportedly set 35 years after the events of the first film, or remake. Adam Marcus, Debra Sullivan Stephen Susco have all worked on the screenplay and the film will be distributed by Lionsgate.

This to me is pointless, Tobe Hooper’s original 1974 film is a masterpiece of horror cinema, so please do him a favour and stop defecating on it with these ridiculous prequels, sequels and franchise reboots. (Bloody Disgusting)
