John Travolta And Ethan Hawke To Join Ti West In A Valley Of Violence

I don't know about you, but I'm really enjoying this new direction that Ethan Hawke is taking his carer in. With recent efforts like The Purge and Sinister under his belt, and upcoming projects such as Regression and Good Kill on his plate, the actor seems to be making all the right moves.

I don’t know about you, but I’m really enjoying this new direction that Ethan Hawke is taking his carer in. With recent efforts like The Purge and Sinister under his belt, and upcoming projects such as Regression and Good Kill on his plate, the actor seems to be making all the right moves.

Today, we’re learning about what seems like another winning choice for Hawke as he’s now joined the upcoming Ti West film In A Valley Of Violence. Co-starring will be John Travolta and backing the whole thing will be Mr. Jason Blum and his production company Blumhouse Productions (who also produced Sinister and The Purge).

Little is known about the plot, but West has stated that it will have nothing to do with horror and instead be a “revenge Western film set in the 1890s.” Though the director is primarily known delivering scares (The Sacrament, The House of the Devil), seeing him switch gears a bit could prove for an interesting watch, especially given that this will be a revenge film (a genre that often crosses over with horror).

Unfortunately, that’s all we have to go on right now but so far, I’m intrigued. This sound like another dark and more mature project for Hawke and with West behind the camera, the end result will surely be thrilling. I’m still a bit confused as to how Travolta found himself mixed up in all this but I have no doubt that the film will put him to good use.

Tell us, what do you think of In A Valley Of Violence so far? Sound promising?
