Keiji Inafune’s Kickstarter-funded Mighty No. 9 has received a new trailer this week that focuses on Mighty Numbers 1-9. The Mega Man spiritual successor is scheduled for release next April on all major gaming platforms.

Featuring gameplay from a work-in-progress build of the title, the real hook of the trailer belongs to the new information on the bosses you will have to defeat. Although the Mighty Numbers 1-8 may remind old school gamers of some of the Mega Man master robots, they all seem like they will be pretty unique to battle. From the close combat fire of Mighty No. 1 to the camouflaged sniper of Mighty No. 8, there appears to be more than enough variety for players to tackle.

Mighty No. 9 received over $4 million in Kickstarter funding back in 2013 and was one of the biggest gaming fundraisers of last year. Footage has been slow to come out, although that may have to do with the fact that the game won’t be released until spring 2015. Regardless, what we’ve seen so far looks pretty impressive and the title appears to be shaping up to be the Mega Man successor that we all deserve.
