New Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Trailer Is Excessively Violent

While over the top violence was certainly one thing I was expecting to see in the latest trailer for Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, that doesn't mean I can't be shocked by just how violent it truly is. Dismemberment, skull crushing and other forms of bodily harm are just a few of the things that this new look at the game provides.

While over the top violence was certainly one thing I was expecting to see in the latest trailer for Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, that doesn’t mean I can’t be shocked by just how violent it truly is. Dismemberment, skull crushing and other forms of bodily harm are just a few of the things that this new look at the game provides.

Currently targeting a third-quarter 2014 release, Hotline Miami 2 picks up the story in the aftermath of Jacket’s massacre of the Russian mob in Hotline Miami. Players will step into the shoes of a series of different characters this time around, including an actor acting out the events of the first game for a movie and a cult-like group of Jacket fans.

Along with seeing our “protagonists” in action, the trailer showcases some new gameplay features for the title. We get to see a character dual-wield weapons, as well as a look at what may be a co-op section. Both of these would be exciting features for Hotline Miami 2, which already retains the fast and furious gameplay that made its predecessor such a hit.

Check out the trailer below and let us know if you’re looking forward to getting your hands on Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number.
