English-speaking gamers who enjoyed 2012’s interesting rhythm spin-off, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, which was released on both the 3DS and iOS, can now look forward to a Western release for its sequel, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call. Originally announced last year and with a Japanese release imminent, Curtain Call is promising to take the fun and quirky gameplay of its predecessor and offer a huge helping of new features and content for a beefier experience.
Not only will Curtain Call contain almost every song from the original Theatrhythm, but it will boast over 200 songs overall, and that doesn’t even include possible downloadable tracks. The selection will range all the way from the original NES games to more recent entries like Lightning Returns and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Dozens of playable protagonists from throughout the history of the Final Fantasy series will also be selectable to form parties of four and level up through playing songs.
A precise release date has not yet been given, other than a simple 2014 release window. As always, we’ll keep you posted and let you know once we hear of an exact date.
