Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight Lands Full Cast, Will Shoot In November

Quentin Tarantino's latest endeavour, The Hateful Eight, has been through such a quagmire of problems. A week after announcing the project earlier this year, the script leaked online. The filmmaker's frustration saw him damn his own project before it was out of the gate, citing his distrust of those involved as reason to shelve it. He later made peace with the incident, and inked a deal to officially publish the screenplay as a book. According to Showbiz 411 though, the western isn't destined for bookshelves and will be hitting the big screen after all.

Quentin Tarantino’s latest endeavour, The Hateful Eight, has been through such a quagmire of problems. A week after announcing the project earlier this year, the script leaked online. The filmmaker’s frustration saw him damn his own project before it was even out of the gate, citing his distrust of those involved as reason to shelve it. He later made peace with the incident, and inked a deal to officially publish the screenplay as a book. According to Showbiz 411 though, the western isn’t destined for bookshelves and will be hitting the big screen after all.

Reportedly going into production this November, the site claims that the film will reunite the same cast who recently participated in a live table read of the screenplay. The event, held at the end of April in L.A. for Film Independent, saw a roster of Tarantino alumni join forces to bring the story to life. It received absolute rave reviews.

If today’s news is correct, then the actors from the read are set to reprise their roles when the cameras roll in Wyoming later this year. The impressive roll call includes: Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, James Parks, Walter Goggins, Amber Tamblyn, James Remar, Zoe Bell, Denis Menochet and Dana Gourrier.

The fact that Tarantino has decided to shoot the pic is incredibly exciting news, which we didn’t think we’d ever hear. From the sounds of it, the version read in L.A. ran an incredible 146 pages. When you consider that one page equates to roughly one minute of screen time, it seems that we’re in for another Tarantino masterpiece.

Scope out the synopsis from the Film Independent event below, and let us know, are you excited that The Hateful Eight is going into production?

The Hateful Eight follows the steadily ratcheting tension that develops after a blizzard diverts a stagecoach from its route, and traps a pitiless and mistrustful group which includes a competing pair of bounty hunters, a renegade Confederate soldier, and a female prisoner in a saloon in the middle of nowhere.
