More Than 45 New Apps Are Coming To The Xbox One And Xbox 360 This Year

Microsoft announced today that they will be bringing more than 45 new entertainment apps to both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 globally this year. Several big names are featured in the list, including the likes of HBO GO, MLG, Twitter and Vine. The entire list, which details which platforms and territories the apps will be available on, can be seen below.

Before I get into anything else, I just want to say that if you download the FXNOW app for the Xbox 360 and don’t use it to watch either Fargo or The Americans, then frankly, I don’t want to know you. That is all.

To give credit where credit is due, Microsoft has remained steadfast in their insistence that the Xbox One was more than just another gaming console. Now with more than 225 apps available worldwide, I do think of it as more of an entertainment system than anything else, as much as that makes me feel like a shill for saying. The best news to come out of this announcement, though, is that hopefully Microsoft will be fully committed to showing games at this year’s E3 show, unlike last year’s debacle. I’m getting a migraine just thinking about that press conference.
