Ahead of next week’s E3, Capcom has announced that Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy will be coming to the Nintendo 3DS this winter. The set, which includes the three original Game Boy Advance titles in the series, will be available exclusively on the 3DS eShop and will carry a cost of $29.99.
Originally released in Japan back in April, Ace Attorney Trilogy features an assortment of updates to the mystery solving series. The titles now feature “redrawn, high-resolution graphics,” as well as full 3D support for the Nintendo 3DS. Exclusive to the Western edition of the game, though, is the fact that players will be able to switch between either playing the trilogy in English or Japanese. Playing in a foreign language is a pretty tall task for a series as text-heavy as Phoenix Wright, but I’m sure there are people out there who are willing to try.
I was a fan of the original Phoenix Wright trilogy back when it was released on the Nintendo DS in North America, but my interest tapered off once the series switched over to Apollo Justice. However, last year’s Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies helped reinvigorate my excitement. Now with this set coming to the west, I can look forward to duelling the likes of Miles Edgeworth, Godot and Franziska von Karma all over again.
