After giving us Shot Me Down, Bad and Blast Off, David Guetta is back with the final song on his four-track EP, entitled Lovers on the Sun. Produced with radio in mind, the country/EDM tune features the vocals of Sam Martin and was co-produced by Avicii.

While it fits in nicely with the trend of Spaghetti Western songs being turned into EDM chart toppers, which Avicii started with Wake Me Up, the track definitely takes a couple listens to get into. At first, I wasn’t entirely sure of what to make of it, kind of like when I first heard the aforementioned Wake Me Up. However, after giving it several listens, I’m already finding myself singing along. It’s a bit different then Guetta’s usual stuff, but it’s a great crossover and I’m pretty confident that it will be a hit.

In particular, I really love Martin’s vocals and the twangy guitar work. Guetta’s beats don’t feel forced either, as they kick in almost seamlessly, taking Lovers on the Sun from a beautiful country tune and turning it into a real club hit. I wouldn’t say it’s the French DJ’s best work, or even close to it, but it’s a pretty catchy song and one that is going to be seeing some serious radio play this summer.

Take a listen to David Guetta‘s new track below and then head on down to the comments section and let us know what you think of it.
