A trio of new trailers have been released for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax that showcase three of the new fighters coming to the updated brawler. The fighting sequel is currently set to hit North America on September 30 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Three of the new combatants joining the 13 returning fighters from last time around are Yukari Takeba, idol star Rise Kujikawa, and ace detective Junpei Iori. In order to properly introduce each of these characters to the world of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Atlus and Arc System Works have released three new character specific trailers.

Each of these clips not only give us a glimpse at the gorgeous character models for each one, but also how the characters will play. Yukari Takeba will utilize her Feather Pink Phoenix Ranger suit, while pop superstar Rise Kujikawa has a variety of music-themed attacks, and Junpei Iori can smash opponents with his baseball bat.

I’m excited about trying my hand at another Arc System Works product, as their unique fighters tend to be more complicated than the usual suspects. The original Persona 4 Arena was no exception, and I fully expect Ultimax to be as equally challenging to become competent at. It also doesn’t hurt that I enjoy the world of the Persona franchise and that I’m willing to put in extra time with the title because of it.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will be available in North America for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in September. The title will also not be region locked in either North or South America, which means that foreign gamers can import the fighter and play it on their console if they wish to.
