UPDATE: Warner Bros. has also released a brand new story trailer for the game, which comes to us from Gamescom.

As has been pointed out numerous times already, October is going to be an insanely busy month in the world of gaming. Several high-profile releases are currently scheduled for the month, including the likes of Alien: Isolation and Evolve. One title that will be skipping the month, however, will be Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor, which is now scheduled for release in September.

The latest gaming adaptation of the iconic Lord of the Rings franchise, Shadow of Mordor had previously been scheduled to launch on October 7. Now, in an effort to avoid battling it out with the likes of NBA 2K15 and Drive Club, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has bumped the release date up to September 30.

It appears that publishers have realized that launching a ton of high-profile titles in one month may be bad for business, as this has been the third major release date change to occur this week. Earlier this week, EA decided to delay Battlefield: Hardline to 2015 and Dragon Age: Inquisition to November. Now instead of dealing with the heavy hitters of October, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor will now face off against a slightly less tough September schedule.

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor will hit the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC when it launches later this year. We will continue to have coverage of this highly anticipated title in the lead-up to its release date.
