During San Diego Comic-Con last month, Marvel revealed that fan-favorite character Bobbi Morse a.k.a. Mockingbird would be showing up in the second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Now we know not only when she’s expected to make her small screen debut, but also who will bring her to life.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Friday Night Lights actress Adrianne Palicki has been tapped to guest star as Mockingbird in the fifth episode of the upcoming season. Though she’s an Avenger in the comics (and the future wife of Hawkeye), she will debut on the series “not as an ally to Coulson and his team,” with the possibility of more appearances in the future.

This marks Palicki’s third attempt at joining a superhero TV show, as she infamously played Wonder Woman in a failed NBC pilot in 2011 and, before that, portrayed the character Nadia in a failed Aquaman pilot for The WB in 2006.

She joins a rapidly-growing list of guest stars as the series heads into its sophomore year. In the last few weeks, we’ve seen Kyle MacLachlan sign on to play Skye’s father, Lucy Lawless as S.H.I.E.L.D. veteran Isabelle Hartley, Reed Diamond (Moneyball) as HYDRA villain Daniel Whitehall a.k.a. Kraken, Henry Simmons (NYPD Blue) as agent Alphonso “Mac” Mackenzie, and Simon Kassianides (Quantum of Solace) as a character named Bakshi.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres on Tuesday, September 23rd, on ABC.
