For those who like a typhoon of blood and that surging rise of vomit in their throats, Christmas has come early! The next instalment of horror’s truly inventive franchise, The ABCs Of Death 2, is to hit the market in October. But before then, it’s probably best to acquaint yourself with a hint of the violence to come.
The anthology gorefest has another line-up of horror’s finest directorial talent. Vincenzo Natali (Cube), Jen and Sylvia Soska (American Mary) and Alejandro Brugues (Juan Of The Dead) are but three of monstrous roster. With such an eclectic mix of filmmakers, it’s no surprise that the methods of demise will vary greatly – from the bizarre to the outright bloody. Go on, have a gander at the trailer.
The brief two-minute preview hints at another brilliant horror-comedy medley, with repugnant visuals and black-as-night humour. While it certainly isn’t going to be to everyone’s tastes, it looks like there’s no typical by-the-numbers fare going on here.
